Following the guidance of founder Molly Crabapple, Colorado Springs based burlesque troupe Peaks and Pasties and The Modbo brings in burlesque dancers, roller derby girls, fetish models, drag queens and lots of other fascinating subjects for their "students" to sketch.

Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School is the world’s premier alternative drawing movement and quite possibly the coolest art class you’ll ever go to. Every month, over 3,500 people gather in nearly a hundred cities. Dr. Sketchy’s was founded in 2005 in a dive bar in Brooklyn by two artists.
